Heinen True Value  Farm Supply is a two family business,  this being two brothers,   Jim and Linda Heinen and Randy and Sheryl Heinen.

The business was started by Albert Heinen, father of Jin and Randy as an Itco store, at that time located in a smaller building on the south side of the street at 324 Main .Seneca. The business grew as Albert tried to meet the needs of the farmers in the area.

  In the early 1970s, the business was moved across the street into a building at 319 Main which gave the business  twice as much space as the previous building. In 1976  the business was  moved to a building  where it is located today at  307 Main where there was more space to expand. Today Heinen True Value Farm Supply occupies two building side by side and have a warehouse two doors to the  west.   It is their aim to have what  you want on hand to avoid you having to wait.

Jim and Randy took over the management of the business in 1982 and ran the business in the same manner and continued to add merchandise to meet the request of customers in the area.   When Albert retired and Jim and Randy continued the operation under the Itco  until the  Itco company went bankrupt.  The business switched to the True Value line at that time. It has been necessary  to add  items to the stock to  keep the business up to date with the changing practices  of the farmers in the area.. 

The wives, Sheryl and Linda take care of the cell phone business and keep up to date with the changes that come very frequent.  They can fill your needs as to your cell phone and answer you question Come in and visit with Sheryl or Linda and  find some program that fits you business. Linda and Sheryl take care of the books as well as ordering and stocking the  shelves.

Farming has made big changes in the last few years from intensive cultivation to no-till, global positioning, and computerized equipment which meant  equipment had to change to meet the need of the customer.  New items are coming out all the time and the brothers have had to keep their ear to the ground to keep up with the new trends in farming. equipment.    They not only have the equipment you can use but the information and  know-how to use such equipment.

Heinen True Value Farm Supplies now carries the following brand names:  Best Way Sprayers, Stihl chain saws,  Weedeaters, Dixon lawn mowers, Peck Grain Augers, Parker Grain-Flow boxes and MFS grain bins.  

Heinen True Value Farm Supplies has added more space to the west for a rental service in 2005.  This  is called "JustAsk Rental".  They have modern   tools to rent  at reasonable rates. This will make it easy for their costumers to rent professional tools and  even wedding, party and banquet supplies.  Every thing from a cement mixer to a Champaign ice bucket.
