Nemaha County Court House, Seneca Kansas

 This Nemaha County Court House was built some- time after the 1896  tornado which destroyed the previous court house.  The Nemaha Court House and  The Register of Deeds  building was build  on the same location as the previous building.  Information is that the Register of Deeds building was built separate to make it   tornado and fire proof. I do not know if this was fact or fiction, however with the county  having lost  two to buildings to fire and one to a tornado it would  seem  to have been a good idea.
