The First National Bank Building
is located on the corner of Fifth and Main, although not a bank
today it is still a very interesting structure and adds historic value
to Seneca. Even though it is called the "First National Bank
Building" it is referred to in the Courier Tribune of 1912 as the "Seneca
State Savings Bank" in the First National Bank Building.
What is the explanation of this? I am told there were two
banks in this building at one time. The Seneca State Savings was
on the lower floor and the National Bank was on the second floor.
These adds prove this to be true.

Click on picture to see as this building as
it is today. This building is well over a 100 years old and there is a
lot of history with this building and one bank in it went under in the
depression, Perhaps history on this bank can be written sometime.
