This is a photo of Main Street from near Sixth street before the first fire department building was built. The Seneca Furniture Co. is on the left side of the street this side of the tall building with the sign. The sign reads "Vincent, Allen and Drees" with "Dry Goods and Grocers'  below.  There are light  or telephone poles on the north side of the street. and none  on the south side. I am not sure what that means as the early telephone  office was on the south side and most of the poles were there also. No bulbs hanging in the street intersections that I can see.
