The Gilford as it appears
in about 1950 as the model of the autos would
indicate. The Gilford Hotel was a good place for business
meetings as well as promotional meeting by
companies selling their products such as seed, oil,
insurance and other sales meetings.
Many wedding receptions
were held here at the Gilford Hotel in the large dining
room and adjoining rooms. . The Conoco station was still at the corner of third and Main
where the Nemaha COOP Tire Station is today.
