U S 63 Bridge\ where it crossed the spillway and dam
at Lake Nemaha, Nemaha County, Kansas.
Lake Nemaha was a CCC project during the depression years under the Roosevelt Reconstruction Plan in the 1930 and 1940s .It is located south of Seneca, Kansas some six miles on the Nemaha River. Highway 63 crosses the dam. This was removed at the time the lake was drained and bridge now replaces this arched spillway.
