This Buser Service Station which was across Sixth Street to the west from the City hall. Al Buser said this was he cleaning the windshield of the Model A Ford. This station was sold to the City for the Ambulance garage. In the year 2000 the city contracted with AHRS Construction of Bern, Kansas to build a new Emergency Service Building at his location. There was a black smith shop on this corner before the Buser Service station was built there in 1910. Click on the picture above and you see Pete Buser's Service Station which was at Sixth and Main and the old building to the left which was the Stine Livery Stable which was still standing when the Buser Service was first built. The U.S. Post-Office was build to the west of this location in 1939 and is there today in 2005. The Information and picture
