Numbers have
appeared on photo, Description of building as they were in 1916.
# 1. The Citizens State Bank, A. A. L. Scoville was president The west half of this
same building to the west which does not show was the Scoville
hardware.
# 2. The building with Scoville Hardware sign painted on the
far side.
# 3The building with the Shoe
sign and it has "Thompson and Wempe" in the upper right corner
of the sight. The
# 4 This building and
contained two banks for a time. The National bank was on the
second floor and the Seneca State Savings Bank on the lower floor.
| The lot this side of the
sigh is vacant the time this picture was taken and there is no
bank building where J Six Enterprises is located in the year 2004.
This location is where the first log cabin was located when
Seneca was organized and later a movie theater was in this location in
1915 as a different photo on this web site shows. This location
had remained vacant for many years until Penney's Store came to
town and today it is Fashions Unlimited.
