The Out Door Royal Theater
This was the Royal Picture Theater in 1915, it was in the 500 block
of Main on the north side of the street where Unlimited Fashions is today in
2004. It was likely the summer outdoor theater and the building may have
been for the projector and such.
This advertisement for the movie is from the Courier Tribune
of May 1915 the same paper that reported on the flood of June 17,
1915. Price of the movie was 15 and 25 cents.
The large lettering on the next building was an add for the A. L. L.
Hardware. One sees many adds on building on this web page and some of these
adds are visible today some 85 to 100 years later. Some one should repaint
them soon.
