R A Copy of this photo was in the Seneca Tribune dated June 4, 1996 with the following information.  This photo was the property of Anna M Stallbaumer , my Grandmother, wife of Henry Stallbaumer and daughter of Matthias Schneider.

"View of the main path of the tornado in north part of City, taken from top of residences of  R. S. Robbins   looking to the northwest, including the block of Vorhes-Connet wreckage" 

Additional information included the following:

It is an incalculable damage to Seneca and it will be years before she will  recover from the effect and the devastation  before the   region again built up. The lost sustained by the city will be $250,000.00.  Drawing from Seneca Democrat. There were many drawings in this paper. click to enlarge

Three children were killed  in this area above, they being  Wilber Vorher, Lelia and Willie Connet.
         Those killed by the Tornado of 1896 in Seneca were as follows: Lelia Connet, Willie connet, Wilfred Vorhes, Frank Assenmacher, Ruby Scherrard, Zerna Sherrard, Andrey Sherrard,  Mrs. Jacob Kotte,  Ellen Cary and W. C. Machamer.
