This is the same building as the Commercial House which is on the previous page. This picture  could be some 20 years later and the  1908 Nemaha County Plat shows the post office in this location in 1908 and I have been told it was here till 1917 when it move to the north side of the street  where the Soul Provider is today.  The Telephone office was upstairs in this building shortly after 1900.

The business on the right in this building was  The Heffron Ready-to-Wear until 1945 when it was sold to Mrs. Ruth Alvis who had operated the ABC Cleaners in Seneca. with her husband  Mrs. Alvis moved to Seneca in 1937 with her husband, Gordon Alvis, Sr.. After she purchased the business it was  renamed The  Style Shop.  The Courier Tribune in January of 1979 reported the that Mrs. Alvis sold the business to  Mrs. Paul (Jody) Henry.

The State Farm Insurance is located in the east half of this same building and   Castle Rock Mercantile is in the west side in  the year  2005. The building to the left is gone as the United Bank and Trust is located there today in 2005.
