West side of Sixth Street
prior to 1977
The previous page show these building on the west side of sixth street across from the Seneca city hall or fire station was a soft serve ice-cream shop and the hatchery. The picture to the left is prior to 1976. The ice cream shop was remolded and made into a garage by Lyle Stallbaumer and the hatchery was taken down in 1977. The city of Seneca eventually bought the garage which was used by the fire department for storage. The ambulance garage and this storage building was located on the this side of the street where the present the "Seneca Emergency Services" building is today. This ambulance garage had been the Buser Service Station which was purchased by the city in about 1950. I am looking for a photo of that garage. Pictures and information from Lyle and Marcena Stallbaumer
