Leo Becker purchased the

1952 and purchased the business when Ray acquired the Ford dealership
from Usher Motors which was on Main street.
To the left
is a picture which dates back to the time they
started to enlarge the highway a four lane road through town in
the 50s. Leo
Becker started to work for the Sanders Body Shop on North street
in the early 50s. The picture to the right would be from this
time when highway 36 was widened
to a four lane street. Leo tell how he would park his car under
this big tree while at work. Today he wishes it were still
there. This was a large oak tree that was likely as old as
the city of Seneca. He remembers the day when the State came
along and offered Ray Sanders $500 for the land and the tree and it was
removed to make the road four lane.
